Andrew's passion for filmmaking and animation is what led him to co-found Bad Studio with Tim; a long-term friend who believes they met at Art school 17 years ago but it's actually 19. Andrew has over 14 years of experience in the film industry working as a writer / director of short films that span a range of genre's from drama, horror, animation, and experimental documentary. He has been commissioned multiple times by the UK Film Council for films including 'Things We Leave Behind' which received 2 nominations for 'Best Short', and 'Where There's Smoke' which won a 'Best Cinematography' award. Most recently, Andrew was commissioned by Film4 to complete his 7th short film 'What the Dog Saw' for their series 'A Moment Of Horror' and has recently finished his animated short film 'Relaxatron 5000' which received its world premiere at the 32nd Hamburg International Short Film Festival.

Tim Unsworth

Creative Director / Animator / Architect

Tim is an RIBA Chartered Architect and spent his final years in training at the world renowned AA school of Architecture in London. He went on to head up the design and delivery of the countries largest Passivhaus scheme to date as well as many other notable smaller scale projects. He also has a number of award winning projects under his belt and has lectured in Architecture and Graphics at Plymouth University. Throughout his career and dating back to his early studies, Tim has utilised and maintained an interest in 3D visualisations, motion graphics and augmented technologies, often incorporating them into his work and presentations. While still a practicing Architect, this love of all things animation and graphics led him to co-found and run Bad Studio with his friend Andrew, who he has know since Art School back in the late 90s .

Tim runs our partnership film company Focuspull based out of Marlow. Focuspull is a video production agency set up in 2010 with a clear objective: create videos with impact. Whatever the purpose of the video you are creating, we feel that video has the power to enlighten, inform and drive action. To create impact, it’s important to understand the desired outcome. We can support clients with all elements of video production, from developing a clearly defined strategy, to filming, producing and editing the final film. Focuspull are small enough to be agile and adapt to the needs of our clients. We are able to be reactive to all types and size of video productions by retaining the most current equipment in-house and then scaling up when necessary for each project using our long list of very talented associates and partners.

Emma Sullivan

Scriptwriter / Film Director

Emma is a graduate of the National Film and Television School, where she was awarded a scholarship from the David Lean Foundation for her MA in Fiction Direction. She also has a BA Hons in Fine Art from Central St Martin’s College of Art & Design and an MA in Communication, Art & Design from the Royal College of Art. Emma’s short film, ‘After Tomorrow’, was nominated for a Palme d’Or at the 62nd Cannes Film Festival, and won Best Short Film at the Edinburgh Film Festival in 2009. That year she was also named one of Screen International’s Stars of Tomorrow. In 2006-7 Emma took part in the Skillset Film Lab, a year-long series of collaborative workshops between actors and directors about screen acting. In 2008 she was selected for the Young Vic Genesis Directors’ project, and during 2010 and 2011 was mentored by director John Hillcoat on the prestigious Guiding Lights scheme. Emma was shortlisted for the 2012 Wellcome Trust Screenwriting Prize, run in association with the BFI Film Fund. Emma has directed Television drama for the BBC in recent years, and continues to write screenplays and make short films.

If you need a project filmed, edited or for us to produce and deliver the whole project we are available. We have vast experience across the whole production process in a variety of different genres including, corporate, commercial, documentary, music videos, creative and live events.

We have a large amount of kit in-house to bring your ideas to life, including Sony 4k cameras, DJI gimbals, camera quadcopter, location lighting, green screens and autocues.  Our aim is to always capture the best quality images in the most creative and cinematic way, utilising the latest technology to fit your project and budget.



With an in-house Architect & visualisation team, Bad Studio can produce photorealistic visualisations for Architects, Developers, Interior and Product Designers.  We can model and render your building, scheme or interior to any style you may wish, from photoreal to illustrative.

Should you wish, we can take your proposal and superimpose it into an existing still image, drone footage or any other footage you may have.  If you do not have the footage, we can arrange for our camera team to film your site or buildings and create a series of images for planning or promotional purposes. Our in-house Architect has a wealth of knowledge producing architectural images for planning and promotional purposes and can advise you how best to capture the building or scheme to best aid in your final presentations.
